Carnival of wonders - our story
In November 2018, “Carnival of Wonders” was born out of director and renown choreographer Christopher Childers' vision. It was performed with heart by a diverse and talented cast selling out all four shows within a week. The storyline was very personal but ended up resonating with each audience. Carnival of Wonders ended up creating an incredibly positive ripple that spread to all corners of the world.
To harness this momentum, we are taking Carnival of Wonders to entirely new heights. Instead of a show, Carnival of Wonders is now THE MOVIE. All the heart and dedication from our diverse and extraordinary cast is showcased along with the powerful stories of our lead performers and the wild characters in our town of lost souls.
Christopher Childers is the creative director, choreographer, and force of nature behind this year's storyline again. He is partnered with his lifelong friend and creative genius, Jonathan Lawrence, a Los Angeles based film director and creative cinematographer. Stay tuned for the spectacular Carnival of Wonders THE MOVIE.

Hosted on set at Long Branch Ranch in Half Moon Bay, CA
Join us September 6th to celebrate the launch and premiere of Carnival of Wonders THE MOVIE.
Don your western/steampunk costume and immerse yourself into an otherworldly experience. The entire evening will be hosted on the set of Carnival of Wonders THE MOVIE at Long Branch Ranch in Half Moon Bay, CA. You will be treated to live specialty acts from the characters of the movie including the very talented dancers, contortionist, fire breathers, drag queens and strong men. And we're honored to welcome DJ "TONE RANGER" who will play his original western inspired trance and dance beats.
Your ticket will include a full western BBQ dinner, city street games, and photo opportunities galore. For additional fees, you can saddle up to the bar or you can try your hand at a game in the gaming hall. All proceeds from the event benefit CoastPride, Edgewood Center for Children and Families and Square Peg Foundation. Throughout the evening, we'll host a silent auction to further raise funds for these three local NorCal charities.
The night will be complete with multiple showings of Carnival of Wonders THE MOVIE by world renowned choreographer and creator, Christopher Childers and director, Jonathan Lawrence.
We promise that it will be a night to remember.
